In 2017, Mount Agung erupted unexpectedly in Indonesia. Out of frustration with the many inconsistencies encountered in the Belgian media concerning volcanic eruptions, I decided to write a blogpost for wtnschp.be in which I set the record straight. Volcanoes do not 'smoke', they emit ashes. Volcanoes do not produce 'fire', that is lava you see glowing there!
